Building Emotional Tolerance [VLOG]

September 4, 2018

The transition from summer vacation to a new semester of school definitely triggers a lot of emotions for both parents and kids.

A major theme last week in my meetings with parents was how to stay emotionally regulated while their child acts out emotionally.

Most of the parents I meet admit that they frequently act out of their own frustration when their child is acting out; that It's really difficult to stay calm, especially when you are rushing through a busy day.

In this short video, I share my best advice for helping you learn how to regulate your emotions over time so that you model this very important skill to your child and help them to co-regulate with you.
